Dr Shenghua Kelly Fan is currently interested in experimental designs. She has worked on the optimal design for multinomial responses, and its application to clinical trials for few years. Multinomial responses have become more popular in clinical trials. For instance, in several-level toxicity (or efficacy) phase I (or II) clinical trials and also in phase I/II clinical trials. In addition, she is also working on the uniform design which is adopted in many fields, such as engineering, and in computer experiments.
