Two Types for Project Topics: Two topics are for Anova and the other two are for regression. YOU DO NOT NEED TO ANALYZE IT PERFECTLY. JUST DO AS MUCH AS YOU CAN.
The
content: The
report might be organized in the following manner, but the section titles and
the number of sections may vary from project to project.
1. Introduction (for both types). Introduce the whole project by describing the problems that you are going to study, indicating statistical methods to be used for studying the problems, summarizing the results and conclusions obtained from this study, and giving an outline of the rest of the report.
2. The Analysis of the Data. Give a full analysis of the data set using SPSS or SAS. You can also use other software to help you.
3. Conclusions State your conclusions of the your analysis here IN PRACTICAL TERMS. Discuss possible applications of the same methodologies to other real problems encountered in daily life or in your work.
The Format: Your report should be typewritten, either using Latex or Microsoft Word or any other software, on one side of a page, completely double spaced and less than 5 pages excluding the Appendix. All figures, tables, and outputs should be attached in the Appendix. Irrelevant figures or outputs should not be included.
Tables and figures are numbered in Arabic numerals and referred in the text by number. Formulas should be typewritten and displayed in the center of a separate line. Important formulas should be numbered as they can be referred in the text by its number.
