  • Concise overviews of major statistical topics
  • Easy-to-follow examples
  • Guidance for setting up your data
  • Information on calculations and methods
  • A dynamic glossary

For those who prefer entering command language rather than using the menus and dialog boxes, complete Session Command Help also is available.

MINITAB StatGuide

StatGuide also is located within MINITAB and explains how to interpret statistical tables and graphs in a practical, straightforward way. Its tone is informal and friendly.  You can easily access it by right-clicking your output or by clicking the icon in the toolbar.

From basic statistics, to quality tools, to Design of Experiments, the StatGuide offers relevant guidance when you need it most.

Tutorials

There are five tutorials available in MINITAB to help you quickly learn how to use the software. Each tutorial focuses on a different statistical problem and takes you from creating the project to producing final results.

MINITAB Installation Guides

Downloadable PDF versions of MINITAB 14 Installation Guides are available.

MINITAB now offers Help files in a printable format, complete with table of contents, numbered pages, and indexes. Over 70 individual chapters are available, including:

Larger Help areas also are available, such as:

Companion Text List

The Companion Text List (CTL) is an online database that contains a bibliographical listing of currently available texts featuring MINITAB Statistical Software. It includes textbooks, textbook supplements, and other related teaching materials and is updated continuously.

MINITAB Handbook, Fifth Edition

The MINITAB Handbook is a supplementary text that teaches basic statistics using MINITAB Release 14. A staple for both professionals and students since it was first published in 1976, this latest edition has been updated to include:

  • the improved graphics and other features and enhancements introduced in MINITAB 14
  • many new examples, datasets, exercises, and macros
  • new material on interpreting and illustrating confidence intervals and sampling distributions
  • a greatly expanded chapter on using MINITAB to create statistical simulations

The MINITAB Handbook was written by Barbara Ryan, Brian Joiner, and Jonathan Cryer, and is available directly from Duxbury Press. It also will be available bundled with MINITAB Student 14, a streamlined and economical version of MINITAB 14, in fall 2004. Visit the MINITAB Student Bundling Information Page for more information, or contact your publisher directly.
