Professional Interests, Research and Studies

    My research investigates visual attention and short-term memory. In other words, I study how you recognize and keep track of information in the environment around you, and how you deal with irrelevant distractions. I study these topics using computerized tasks that are essentially like simplifed video games: human volunteers perform these tasks, and I look for changes in their performance due to various subtle differences in the task.
