Layout: a New 2D MEMS
Design Tool for Windows
A Windows-based application written using the Borland Rapid Application Development system, C++ Builder, has been written over the course of the last four years by Dr. Doering and small groups of graduate students. This is an on-going project, and so this will be a demonstration of the current alpha release. The program uses the OpenGL interface to the graphics processing unit to enhance drawing speed. The application is designed to create masks used to manufacture Micro ElectroMechanical Systems (MEMS) as well as Integrated Circuits (ICs), and has been used in preliminary form to teach the VLSI classes here at CSUEB
Pizza and soda will be served for those attending!
