Introduction to CSUEB CompCore Systems
CSUEB CompCore provides access to high-performance computing and visualization resources. It employs clustering technologies based on current "best-practices" as used in government and university research labs. In this talk, Dr. Thibault will discuss and demonstrate the specific hardware and software resources available at CompCore. CompCore hardware primarily consists of two clusters, one for high-performance computing, and another to drive a large display made from multiple flat-panel monitors. Software used includes the Rocks Linux-based clustering tools, the MPI message-passing API, and tools for driving multiple monitors to create a single display surface (Chromium and DMX).
