Exotic Geometries
Consider the following: A woman takes a morning stroll, first walking 1 mile south, 1 mile west, and then 1 mile north, arriving exactly where she started. In my talk, we will discuss the feasibility of the above situation in the broader context of non-Euclidean geometries. The story behind such geometries began 23 centuries ago with Euclid and is one of the most fascinating chapters in humanity's search for knowledge.
Pizza and soda will be served for those attending!
