Computer Lab Policies
The College of Science provides computer access for course work.
Users should not leave data files or personal applications on the
computers and should leave the computer desktops as they are
found.
Use of the equipment for any other activities may result
in loss of lab privileges and possibly criminal charges.
Sign-in Policy
A valid student ID is required to enter the computer labs -
period. The College of Science reserves the right to refuse
access to those without valid student IDs.
Food & Drink
Eating or drinking is not allowed in any computer lab. Please
store any and all consumable items. The College of Science
reserves the right to refuse access to those who fail to comply.
Cell Phone Use
Cell phones should be turned off or set to silent/vibrate
mode. Calls should not be initiated while in the lab. Please
step into the hallway or outside when using a cell phone.
Lab users are asked to respect other users by keeping noise
levels to a minimum. Please keep conversations quiet.
Time Limit
A 2 hour time limit will be imposed if there is a waiting list.
Games
It is not permitted to play games on the computers in the
Science Computer Labs. This rule may be overlooked during
low use periods. However, the College of Science reserves the
right to refuse access to anyone who fails to comply with this
rule when requested.
Computers, Printers & Print Jobs
Please bring any and all computer or printer related issues to
the attention of the lab assistants. Do not try to resolve
mechanical issues yourself!
Computers left unattended for more than 15 minutes will be
assigned to the next person on the waiting list.
The College of Science reserves the right to refuse access to
anyone who damages lab equipment.
There are large BLUE recycle bins in each lab; please put only
paper in them.
