Bay Area Worm
Meeting will be held Friday, March 21st in VBT124 at Cal State University,
East Bay (Hayward campus). Talks: 10:30 am to 3:30 pm (with a break for
lunch). Poster session/social: from 3:30 until 5:30 pm.

Since this is the Bay Area WORM
Meeting, why not get to know
other worms out there? Last BAWM, we learned about the
root-knot
nematode from Valerie Williamson, this time Alejandro Sanchez Alvarado,
one of the foremost experts in planaria, the flat worm of your high
school days, will update us on all the cool things he is finding out
about this worm.

Request to Talk (DEADLINE: February 22nd,
2008)
We
would like to invite both graduate students and post docs to talk at
BAWM. We expect to have time for 10 oral presentations (in addition to
the key note address). Each person will be given 20 minutes (15 minutes
to talk, 5 minutes for questions).
If you would like to give an oral
presentation, please email the BAWMorganizers@gmail.com
with your firm commitment
to speak by FEBRUARY 22nd.
In your email, please include your title and a short description of
your research. If there are more requests than available slots an ad
hoc selection committee (including
but not limited to members of the organizing committee) will make the
final decisions soon thereafter.
